ClearBIT Systems is led by mathematician, data security expert and author, Gideon Samid. Gideon lectures worldwide and consults Fortune 100 corporations as well as the Pentagon on data security matters. Gideon is the inventor of ClearBIT's underlying "Daniel" encryption and the "Randomat™" digital currency technology. Both are currently patent-pending. Specializing in mathematical applications in science and engineering, Gideon pioneered the critical new field of "knowledge-realization appraisal," quantifying mathematically the elusive notion of "knowledge". Gideon is also co-founder and CTO of AGS Encryptions, Ltd.

Gideon's business career has spanned 30 years at companies such as NASA, DoD, SAC, Presearch, CSC, Paz Energy, and Exxon where he held the full range of technical positions from Shift Engineer to Chief Engineer. Gideon has published more than 50 technical articles in his field, including the winner of the Best Paper Award at the Second International Workshop on Information Security Applications (WISA 2001) and the critically acclaimed text book Computer Organized Cost Engineering.

Gideon pursued all three degrees (BSc., MSc., Ph.D.) at the Technion -- Israel Institute of Technology. He is a reserve officer in the Israeli Military.
